About Foundation Hall
Opened in 2010 and later named after prominent businessman, Marshall graduate, and donor Brad D. Smith, the Brad D. Smith Foundation Hall and Erickson Alumni Center houses offices for the Marshall University Foundation and Marshall University Office of Alumni Relations.
Having a Special Event?
Why not choose a special location right on Marshall’s Huntington campus? Our Herd Heaven & Rotunda is a majestic space that promises elegance and class. Your guests can enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres on the second floor mezzanine prior to your event.
Imagine the photo opportunities as the bride throws her bouquet from the balcony, descends the beautiful staircase arm-in-arm with her father or shares her first dance with her husband on the first floor lobby of the Rotunda.
Guests will also enjoy exploring the Marshall Memorabilia display cases in the lobby of the Rotunda.
Need a Reception or Meeting Space?
The grandeur and versatility of the Conference Center makes it perfect for your special event, no matter what your needs. Three-story arched windows encircle the space creating exquisite beauty, while the grand entrance and pre-function areas will add flexibility to your wedding reception, reunion or party.
Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including two mounted flat screens and a descending projection screen, this space is fully functional for your business meetings and conferences.
This versatile room can also be divided into two separate spaces.

If not, our Alumni Lounge will make you one! Providing a more intimate space featuring Marshall’s sports décor, this room is just the place for your small gathering, informal meeting or casual lunch.
With a small kitchenette and bar, this space is also equipped with flat screens, soft seating and a pub-like atmosphere; you’ll think it’s a Marshall Game Day, every day!
Rent this space for a small rehearsal dinner or a bridal shower, or on the day of the wedding for the bridal party to dress, snack and relax.
