About the Nancy Pelphrey-Herd Village Scholarship
We may not have invented tailgating at Marshall University, but we perfected the art. The Marshall University Alumni Association established Herd Village in 1998, a tented corporate tailgate area located at the Lefty Rollins track field. Through the efforts of many, Herd Village grew and prospered. Due to the success of this program and named after the director of this program the Marshall University Alumni Association is pleased to offer the Nancy Pelphrey-Herd Village Scholarship. We are excited to offer one of these to a Marching Band/Dance Team or Flag Corp member and one to a Marshall University Cheerleader or Marco.
This $500 (or more) scholarship is limited to a full-time student, sophomore or above, 3.0 GPA and a resident of West Virginia. You must be participating in the band or cheerleading during the time this award is used. If you would like to be considered for this merit-based scholarship, please complete the application below.
The application should include a letter of recommendation from a faculty member, staff member or administrator, please have them submit the letter by email to alumni@marshall.edu.
